NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The Council was very pleased that so many people took the time and trouble to come to the recent Public Exhibition on the Neighbourhood Development Plan. It was heard said that there would be no point as nobody listened anyway but the Council wishes to reassure you that this was the whole point of the Exhibition, to listen to your views and to use them to help formulate the village for the future. We may not be able to please everybody and we know that we have to accept future development whether we like it or not but this is your opportunity to have your say in where it should go and what areas of the village you wish to see remain unspoilt.
The Neighbourhood Development Plan Team are now using your comments to devise a questionnaire to go to every household giving people another opportunity to have your say before the first draft of the Plan is written. We are assured by South Norfolk Council that your views will be taken into account and with public support our Neighbourhood Development Plan will form part of the Local Development Framework and planning applications will have to conform to your ideas of what your village should look like. Please let us know what you think, we need your comments and your support at this exciting time.

NEW COMMUNITY CENTRE
The Parish Council is hopeful that the planning application for the new Community Centre will be submitted before the end of the year. We have met with the architect to fine tune the plans and make one or two internal changes to meet the requirements of our potential users. We are also looking at the wider picture and making plans for the layout of the new Park, football pitch and play-area. Part of the Park area will be a small wood and it is hoped that a footpath can be formed through the wood to enable as many people as possible to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The Council will keep you informed as the Community Centre and Park progress but if you would like to know more please contact the Clerk.

CRINGLEFORD WALKS
Are you fed up with walking the same old route? Why not take a stroll around Cringleford and discover areas you didn’t know existed. Starting at the Village Green, cross the road towards the School and walk down to the Doctor’s Surgery. Turn right and walk down the new footpath towards the A11. Cross over the A11 at the controlled crossing and then turn left. This will take you to Jasmine Pond where you can turn right and walk around the pond. Why not stop for a while and look at the amazing wildlife that can be seen all year round. The land surrounding the pond has been planted with a special wildflower mix and as each year goes by the array of flowers and the wildlife it attracts will increase. Leaving the Pond behind turn right up Jasmine Walk and at the top of the road bear left and out onto Dragonfly Lane. To the right you will see the Dragonfly Play-Area and the new Outdoor Gym and we encourage you to give the Gym a go, whatever you age. Just to the left of the Play-Area is a footpath through to Nightingale Drive and you can go to the left or the right and it will lead you onto Brambling Lane. Turn towards the houses and walk down The Pines until you reach Peregrine Mews. If you turn left and then keep to the left it will bring you up into Oriole Drive. Then turn right down the Drive which will lead you back to Brambling Lane before turning right into Dragonfly Lane and back to Jasmine Pond. From there you can retrace your steps back to the Village Green. There is so much to explore in Cringleford now and we hope you enjoy the walk.
